The inquiry continued even after the commission dropped a lawsuit accusing Coinbase of illegally marketing digital currencies to the public.

Coinbase was charged by the S.E.C. in 2023 with violating federal securities laws, but that lawsuit was dropped after President Trump’s inauguration.

    They should also investigate whether Coinbase is lying about their security settings (they are).
