For me, the red stands for two things: “blood” and “Nazi”. I consider fascism to be the next stage of malignant capitalism.

I really hope that blacklist is a thing. The 1% are leeches that kill nations, given time and opportunity.
No politicians, no problem.
…I can’t use a /s for this. Because, honestly, we might have a shooting war within a decade. I think most of our politicians don’t understand why the social contract was a thing.
Here ya go.
I just modified it, and it has become even more on the nose. 🤮
I am saving it to my political images folder. This design is a perfect encapsulation of the shittier aspects of society.
Just eat out the apples together, ignoring the knife. Just take a bite and pass the apple to the next person, repeating the process until there is just a core. Not very sanitary, but mission accomplished.
The second half sums up my existence.
In a Tesla, preferably.
Ideally, we get an democrat Bernie or AOC presidency, who then runs for a second term as an independent. Incumbents tend to have name recognition, which would make it easier to give the DNC the Old Yeller treatment. The Geronocrats have a callow ambition, even if progressives manage to Tea Party things. After all, the DNC’s bluebloods will want to retake the throne. It would be best if the throne that they treasure was lost outright.
It certainly feels that way. I simply have no faith in the DNC, let alone the likes of the GOP. I am of the opinion that our political system simply lacks the flexibility needed to reflect the interests of ordinary people. Just look at how medical benefits, SNAP, NOAA, our sciences, federal workers, due process, and so much more are being deconstructed. All for the sake of a small group of people to see their numbers go up.
It would be good to be wrong about this feeling. Unfortunately, hope is rarely a good companion of prudence.
I think most people wouldn’t want to. Unfortunately, I suspect that the Trump Regime only offers two choices: submit to an existence of GOP rule for the rest of our lives, or force the GOP out of existence.
As a very lazy person, I would prefer to coast throughout my life and not worry about much. Unfortunately, that gets harder with each year that passes: the economy is getting worse, RFK wants to send me to an wellness farm, innocents are being trafficked to death camps in El Salvador, and rules that erode liberty for the everyday person are being imposed upon us.
If people like myself don’t get into a “start over” mindset, we might end up paying the price for the rest of our lives.
Personally, I think a United States that has eliminated the GOP, we would actually be able to reobtain Super Saiyan status among the nations of earth. Our greatest weakness, is that many parts of our governance are dated compared to the institutions of the European Union - we can’t elect many good politicians, rife with corruption, a broken social identity where American cannot be defined, abusive corporations and employers, failing education, the failure of the social contract, crumbling infrastructure, ect. For the last 40ish or so years, American has been running on inertia and a big military stick, which masked the erosion of America.
Fix these things, and suddenly the US might become a genuine super power again.
No, he hasn’t really held back. The worst damage has its effects delayed, but will become apparent within two years: The elimination of food and drug standards, the death of NOAA’s weather services, the destruction of our scientific institutions, cutting of federal workers of every category.
Our society has been hollowed into a house of cards, and will only require a breeze for everything to fall apart.
Technically, it isn’t a vote for secession, but rather a vote for dedicating resources towards researching the option. Which, honestly, would be better IMO. It gives California options, since we don’t exactly know how things will look two-four years from now. We could have AOC sweeping out Trump in a special election, we could have Trump’s parade murdering civilians who block the procession, we simply don’t know.
So we should all prepare our blue states for the possibility of conflict, be it knowledge, resources, or institution. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
Here is the CalExit website. We got 210,000+ signatures through there, probably a bit more through other means. Hopefully Californians would do the right thing and reach the petition’s requirement. California should R&D the possibility of secession sooner, rather than have many surprises if later forced into a crisis.
There could be something like Japan’s kitty cafes, but with deadlier feet traps.
The crimson lining is that we might get to build a new United States, free of the GOP and DNC. The problem is the nature of that crimson.
Personally, I think it is too late to save the DNC. Best to start over in a better place.
That is incorrect, at least as far as the manga goes. It is heavily oldschool D&D inspired, using things like dice rolls, vancian magic, and technical arguments for getting the edge. Plus, solid narrative and encounters where the protagonist isn’t OP. The OP specifically chose an octopus familiar, because each limb counts as an action under the ruleset.
This particular manga is closer to Goblin Slayer, Speedrunner, and Dungeon Meshi in spirit. Hopefully, that translates onto the silver screen as well.
